My Scrapbook Resume

About Me:

I am a 32 year old mother of three wonderful children who provide me with endless scrapbooking material. Scrapbooking is my peaceful time in a very hectic life. I love both paper and a digital scrapbooking, and it is difficult to say which I do more. I am highly motivated, and am at my best when I am meeting a deadline. I enjoy trying new techniques and meeting new people. I am friendly, outgoing, and efficient. I love sharing my projects and my knowledge.

Publications:

My layout "The Orange Car" was published in the Oct/Nov 2007 issue of Ready, Set, Create.

My layout "Not Enough Time" was published in the Dec/Jan 2008 issue of Ready, Set, Create.

My layout "Love" was accepted to the Basic Grey gallery at BasicGrey.com on June 19, 2007.

My layout "Joe" was accepted into the Basic Grey gallery at BasicGrey.com on Aug, 9, 2007.

On June 27, 2008 my layout "Feel Like a Woman" was accepted to the Basic Grey gallery.

September 1, 2008 my layout "This House is a Zoo" was featured in the September Page Maps newsletter.

My layout "Birthday Joy" was accepted into the Basic Grey gallery at BasicGrey.com on July 24, 2009.

On August 21, 2009 my layout "Little Miss Sunshine" was accepted to the Basic Grey gallery.

In 2009 my layout "Everyday You" was published on page 79 of a book called "101 Quick and Easy Secrets for Using your Digital Photographs" by Matthew Bamberg.

In July 2011 my page called "Splendid March" was published in Gingerscraps Street Magazine on page 7.

My layout "Oh How You Shine" was published on page 62 of the January 2013 issue of Scrapbook Trends.

My page "Way Too Cool 4 Kindergarten" was published on page 32 of Scrapbook Trends' April 2013 Create: Sketches.

Digital Creative Teams:

Past:

In July 2007 I was selected to be on the digital creative team at Laura18k.com.

In August 2007 I was selected to be on the template creative team for Teriann Hanks at PolkaDotPotato.com.

In February 2008 I was selected to be on the digital creative team at ACherryOnTop.com for Kreations by Kami.

In November 2009 I was asked to join the fabulous creative team for Sue Cummings at Oscraps.com.

In February 2009 I was chosen to be on the digital creative team for Lockhart Designs.

On October 6, 2010 I was asked to join the creative team at Jessica Sprague's amazing website! I designed for two years until December 2012 when she closed her creative team.

I was asked to join Lori Whitlock's wonderful digital team in October 2012.

I was also asked to join Dani Mogstad's (Design By Dani) creative team in October of 2012.

Paper Design Teams:

Past:

In May 2008 I was selected to be on the paper design team at Scrappersaurus.com and at their physical location in Mandeville, Louisiana. I designed for them until they closed in August 2010.

In December 9, 2008 I was on the guest Design Team for the Ad This blog.

In January 2009 I was chosen to be a guest design team member at Scrapperie.com for the month of June.

On March 14, 2009 I was selected to join the design team at JeansArtDolls.com.

In November 2009, I was asked to become a Contributing Artist for the Ideas for Scrapbookers blog.

In January 2011, I was asked to be a guest design team member at the Flamingo Scraps blog.

I was on the design team at Scraptastic Club from August 2010-January 2013.

Current:

I joined The Sampler kit club as a sketch artist and contributor in July 2012.

I became a design team member at the Hydrangea Hippo Etsy store in February 2013.

Digital Design Work:


In 2007, I designed digital paper and embellishments for ElementalScraps.com as well as http://www.doitdigi.com/, and ScrapCentral.ca. I sold my products under the name “Miracle’s Momma Designs". Eventually I decided to return to my paper roots when I was offered a job teaching at my local scrapbook store. Note: Scrap Central no longer sells digital supplies, and Elemental Scraps has changed owners.

Contests and Other Honors:


In June 2008 I made it to the top 10 in the Scrapbooks Etc. Ultimate Summer Challenge in the Journaling/Doodling category with my "You Are My Sunshine" layout.

In December 2008 I was asked by Becky Fleck to test digital templates that she planned to release as a companion to her Page Maps book.

I was featured on the Echo Park blog on October 6, 2011. My layout called "Week 39" was featured as an inspirational page.

My layout "Fright Night" was featured on the Creating Keepsakes blog on October 10, 2011. It was chosen as an inspirational page.

On December 3, 2011 my layout called "When It Rains" was featured on the Basic Grey blog as part of their "Eye Spy" feature.

My layout "Week 48" was featured on Becky Higgins' blog on December 13, 2011 to showcase my use of her digital Project Life line.

On January 4, 2012 my layout called "Happy Holiday" was featured on the Cosmo Cricket blog. They also linked to my blog and mentioned my sketches!

My digital art journaling page called "Broken Heart" was featured on the Creating Keepsakes blog on January 16, 2012. It was chosen as an inspirational page.

I was interviewed on the Paper Goodness blog. I talked about time-saving tips and my creative process.

On March 5, 2012, the Creating Keepsakes blog featured my "Absolutely Charming" layout. They liked the dingbats in my journaling.

I was featured on the Creating Keepsakes blog on April 9, 2012. My layout called "Sick Night" was chosen as an inspirational page.

On November 19, 2012 my layout "Bobbing With Bubba" was spotlighted on the Creating Keepsakes blog.

My layout "All Star" was featured as an inspirational project on the Creating Keepsakes blog on December 31, 2012.

My page was featured as an inspirational project on the Creating Keepsakes blog on January 14, 2013. My layout was called "At Four Months".

I was featured at the Creating Keepsakes blog on February 11, 2013. My layout "A Day In My Life" was chosen for their scrapbook inspiration spotlight.

On April 15, 2013, the Creating Keepsakes blog featured my "Easter" layout. They stated that they enjoyed my linear design.

Teaching Jobs:

In July 2008 I was hired to teach at Scrappersaurus in Mandeville, Louisiana. I came up with concepts for classes, created projects and handouts, and taught the classes. I offered classes on distressing, journaling, making mini albums, using the Cricut machine, using Design Studio Software, using chipboard creatively, restoring photos using Adobe Photoshop Elements, and digital scrapbooking (beginner and advanced) using Adobe Photoshop Elements.

I post tutorials, share my scrapbook pages, and share my life. In 2009 I am running a journaling prompt challenge, as well at taking a photo a day and sharing them. I also give away digital freebies and .svg files occasionally.
